Safety at Llain

We at Llain Activity Centre are constantly aware of the need to ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest safety standards. We have invested a great deal money and effort in the latest equipment and safe session formats to ensure maximum protection for all participants.

From 1997 all activity centres offering certain activities must have a Government licence. An independent inspection covers a wide range of health and safety issues as well as specified activities and staff qualifications. Llain has held a licence from the beginning of the scheme. Our registration number is R0613.

Prior to this legislation the Welsh Tourist Board ran an accreditation scheme for activity centres in Wales. As one of the first centres in Wales to be accredited, Llain has been independently assessed since 1992.

The activities that are not covered by the licence are taught by instructors with the relevant NGB qualifications. Written procedures for each activity are contained in our health and safety policy.
